Tasks > Create a Template Schedule

Templates in WorkBook are a great way of maintaining consistency across similar or regular occurring projects and save time by providing you with a starting point to build on. For example, if you deliver regular types of work for clients, e.g. website builds, you can create a schedule from a template to use over and over again. Schedule templates are used to import a set of phases, tasks and durations, booked resources and hours.

You can only save templates if your license type and access level allows this.


SAVE A SCHEDULE TEMPLATE

To maintain templates in one place, you can use job 1006 WorkBook templates to save your templates to, or create your own internal template job.

To create a schedule template you can either:

  • Create a Schedule from scratch and save it as a template, or

  • Duplicate an existing schedule and adjust as required

 

  • Once you are happy with the schedule go to > settings tab > click the save as template icon

  • Give your template an easy-to-recognise name

  • Click OK
