Briefing > Create a Task Brief

In WorkBook task briefs are created anywhere you can view a task card.

In this article we are creating a task brief from scratch, if you wish to create and use brief templates please refer to the relevant article Briefing > Create a Brief Template

ON THIS PAGE YOU WILL FIND:


CREATE A TASK BRIEF

  • In the jobs list > select the job

  • Click on the tasks icon in the left-hand navigation

 

  • In the tasks tab > select the task you are creating the brief for

  • Click the task settings button to open the task card

 

  • In task card go to the briefing tab

 

  • If you already have a task brief saved as a word document you can upload the brief by clicking the upload a briefing button

 

  • Or, click the edit the briefing button to create a task brief from scratch

 


EDIT A TASK BRIEF

Even if you uploaded a document into the briefing area, you may still need to edit it.

  • To edit the brief, click the edit the briefing button

  • Use the format buttons to edit the brief

 


SAVE A TASK BRIEF

  • Each time you edit the task brief, you must click the save button

 


ADD ATTACHMENTS

  • To add attachments go to the briefing attachments tab

  • Click the upload file button

 


TASK BRIEF COLLABORATION

  • At the bottom of the task brief there is a window to collaborate with colleagues on the brief

  • Write your message and click publish internally

 

  • Go to the task conversation tab to see or add comments on the brief and the task

 

  • Collaboration on a task brief can also be done via the tasks module > to-do > tasks

  • Go to the task briefing tab to collaborate with colleagues on the brief

  • At the bottom of the task brief there is a window to collaborate with colleagues on the brief

  • Write your message and click publish internally

 

  • Go to the task conversation tab to see or add comments on the brief and the task
