A combination of WorkBook layouts, watermarks and print settings are used to create the branded, client facing documents the system outputs, such as price quotes, purchase orders and invoices.

ON THIS PAGE YOU WILL FIND:

LAYOUTS

WorkBook has standard layouts (known as reports) coded to pull system entered data in to the client facing documents, i.e. price quotes, purchase orders and invoices.

Things to note about layouts:

  • Some information on the layout will be hard coded.

  • The layout should be formatted to take the watermark in to consideration.

  • Every output can have multiple layout templates, if needed.

  • Preferred layouts can be defaulted by client/department/etc.

While WorkBook’s standard layouts can be amended, the use of watermarks and print settings can negate the need for this.

WATERMARKS

A watermark is your branded header and footer (similar to a letterhead) that is used to include your branding on price quotes, invoices and purchases orders.

Things to note about watermarks:

  • Watermarks should be formatted to take the different layouts in to consideration - see example layouts below

  • One or several watermarks can be imported and used

  • Watermarks can be defaulted by client/department/etc

  • The watermark must be provided in the following format:

    • PNG file

    • 300 dpi

    • 2480 x 3508 pixels (A4) or 2550 x 3300 (US letter)

PRINT SETTINGS

The level of detail displayed on price quotes, project price quotes and invoices can be tailored on a case by case basis using that record’s “Print Settings”.

Print settings are set by the individual printing the report e.g. price quote (348)

The print layout settings of price quotes, project price quotes, and invoices are below for reference.

Price Quote Print Settings

Price quote (348) is the report used for individual price quotes. Below are the options for what can be displayed on a price quote.

Project Price Quote Print Settings

A project price quote (448) is used when you want to bring multiple price quotes into one document. Below are the options for what can be displayed on the project price quote.

Invoice Print Settings

Below are the options for what can be displayed on the invoice (351).
