Scrum Board > Individuals

If the relevant permissions are set, and your agency is using the scrum board feature in WorkBook, then individuals can view sprints and backlog tasks via their to do list.

To access the scrum board go to tasks > to do > scrum board.

If you do not have access to the scrum board, talk to your WorkBook system administrator.

ON THIS PAGE YOU WILL FIND:


VIEW A SPRINT

To view a sprint :

  • Go to tasks module > to do > scrum board

  • In the scrum board tab > use the scrum sprint view options button to filter sprint options by:

    • Team responsible

    • Period

  • Click apply

 

  • Select a sprint from the drop down menu

 

  • Once you select a sprint, you can then see any backlog items/tasks, and items/tasks that have already been assigned a status e.g. planned, work in progress etc.

 

  • You can use the scrum board view options button to filter by items/tasks by:

    • Your own name or another resource’s name

    • Employee dimensions

      • e.g. department

    • Task filter

      • Client

      • Job status

      • Task priority - high, medium, low

    • Job dimensions

      • Project Manager

      • Account Manager

      • any other dimensions your company as set up on a job level

 


RANK SPRINT ITEMS/TASKS

You can rank items/tasks on sprints by dragging and dropping them into a new position within the sprint.

  • Staying in the tasks module > to do > scrum board

  • Once you have selected the sprint, you can drag and drop items/tasks into a new position within the same column or…

 

  • drag and drop items/tasks into a new status column e.g. work in progress

 

Tip: use the CTRL key to select multiple tasks and drag them into place.

 


ASSIGN EFFORT TO TASKS

You can assign effort (story points) to each item/task via the task card.

  • Staying in the tasks module > to do > scrum board

  • Once you have selected a sprint from the drop down menu

 

  • Double click on the item/task name to open the task card or…

 

  • …select the item/task > then click the task card button

 

  • In the effort field > enter a value

 

In WorkBook, the effort is a number where decimals are rounded off to the nearest tenth.
