Retainers > Creating Delivery Jobs

A retainer in the WorkBook retainer module, is made up of a master billing job and delivery jobs. Delivery jobs are the individual jobs that are covered by the retainer. All timelines, price quotes, time and expenses should be stored on each deliverable job.

CREATING DELIVERY JOBS

Once the master billing job has been created, any new job created to the project will automatically be a delivery job.

To create the the delivery jobs go to:

• The jobs module > jobs list > click create new job button

• Complete the job fields as per the usual process

• When you get to the project field > select the retainer project from the drop down

• Complete the rest of the job creation fields

• Click ok

• Follow your agency process for creating and managing standard jobs i.e.:

  • create a timeline/schedule

  • create a price quote & send to the client for approval

  • add time and expenses

• Repeat for all steps above for all delivery jobs covered by the retainer

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

Price quotes, timesheets and job statuses on delivery jobs can all trigger behind-the-scenes automations in the retainer module.
