WorkBook integrates with Microsoft OneDrive for Business. This enables your organizations to use the Microsoft Office365 offerings together with WorkBook. This specific guide will guide you to set up the OneDirve.

ByTangram needs to be notified that you wish to use Office 365 as storage during installation or consulting.

Certain characters are not allowed in SharePoint so be informed during a test run you might see errors on that specific part.

ON THIS PAGE YOU WILL FIND:

REQUIREMENTS

INSTALLATION & CONFIGURATION

Once you’re ready to start the configuration you need to make sure that you have access to an administrative user within WorkBook as well as on Office 365. The specific user must have full access to the SharePoint site that will host the files WorkBook automatically creates and manages.

Within WorkBook navigate to:

  • Settings > folders, reports & documents > storage, and folders setup

  • Select the 3rd item “storage provider

  • Create a new storage provider

  • Create a new storage provider using the “add entry” icon

  • Select type “Office 365 SharePoint” from the dropdown menu (as shown in the image below)

At the bottom of the view fill out the following details:

  • ServiceEndpointUri ( This will be the full address to your SharePoint site suffixed with /_api/ )

  • ServiceResourceId ( This will be the domain of your SharePoint installation prefixed with https:// )

Examples below;

ServiceEndpointUri: https://bytangram.sharepoint.com/_api/
ServiceResourceId: https://bytangram.sharepoint.com

  • Once the Endpoint and ResourceId is filled out within WorkBook you can go ahead and press the “authenticate” icon

  • A pop up will show ( make sure you have enabled pop up for this in your browser )

  • Enter your Microsoft details for your administrative account and press “Next

  • Once authenticated you are good to go!

    • You can now enable Office 365 and perform a test to make sure the integration is working as intended.

TESTING

After completing the authentication and enabling Office 365 you’re able to test the solution to make sure the connection is established.

  • Test the connection by clicking the test storage provider icon

TROUBLESHOOTING

IT DOESN’T AUTHENTICATE

If you can’t authenticate correctly you have to make sure that you informed the ByTangram team that you’re using Office 365 and want to integrate storage into it, If you do not you’re not going to be able to connect it.

MY TEST CONNECTION FAILS

Some of this test might fail due to certain characters not allowed in SharePoint.
If your testing results fail in WorkBook it might be due to incorrect setup, please revisit the options above. If you are still stuck, feel free to contact our support team directly. We will be happy to help you move forward. Best of luck!
