Clients are created in the resource module and are usually managed by designated role(s) or person(s) within your agency. Once a client is created, XXXXXXXClients are created in the resource module and In WorkBook a project is a layer between the client and the client’s jobs. Projects group a series of jobs together, for reporting purposes and can be created and managed via the resources module.

There are two types of projects in WorkBook:

  1. Standard project

  2. Retainer project

Note

Each client must have at least one project associated with them, so at client creation WorkBook creates a project called Jobs [client name].

The project settings tab is where you can create, delete and edit projects

The project conversations tab allows you to view or create conversations against the project

Use the add project icon to create a new project

The enable/disable project icon allows you to disable the project as long as there’s no associated jobs

Use the project settings sidebar to amend any details relating to the project you have selected

The jobs tab shows all the standard jobs that are related to the selected project

The retainer jobs tab shows all the master and delivery jobs that are related to the selected project

ACCESSING THE CLIENT CARD

There are two options for adding additional information to a client:

  1. via the client card pop-up upon creating the client

When creating a new client, upon clicking ok a pop-up client details card will appear where you can begin adding additional information

  • Select the client > open the client card

Projects are created and managed via the client card.

  • Go to the resources module > resource default grid

  • Select the client > open the client card

AMEND THE DEFAULT PROJECT NAME

  • From the client card > select the projects tab

  • Click in the project name field to amend the project name

CREATING A STANDARD PROJECT

  • From the client card > select the projects tab

  • Click the add project icon

  • Enter the project name

  • Click ok

For a standard project DO NOT check the project retainer box

ASSIGNING A PROJECT TO A JOB

Once a projected is created it can be assigned to a job:

  1. at job creation

DELETING A PROJECT

  • From the client card > select the projects tab

  • Click the delete project icon

You will only be able to delete a project if no jobs are assigned to it
