The scheduling module is where capacity is reviewed and task are managed.

Access to scheduling views will depend up the type of WorkBook license and access you have.

The scheduling module is broken down into two key areas:

  1. Schedule Overview

  2. Task Follow Up

The search field allows you to search for the item you’re looking for

The schedule overview lists the different scheduling views available in WorkBook. View available include:

  • Calendar

  • Capacity Status Graph

  • Scrum Board

  • Task Matrix

  • Employee Task Summary

  • Timesheet Status

  • Timeline Calendar

  • Weekly Schedule

  • Year Calendar

What views are available will depend up the type of WorkBook license you have.

The task follow up provides various task follow up views including:

  • Task List

  • Ticket List

  • Task Resource Booking Approval

  • Tasks Awaiting Closure

  • Tasks with Missing Activity

  • Tasks with Not Fully Booked Capacity

This is the display area which will display whatever item you have selected in the scheduling overview or the task follow up menus


ACCURATE CAPACITY PLANNING TIPS

Accurate capacity planning (across live jobs and new opportunities) is reliant upon:

  • All jobs (any status) having a schedule with resources (group scheduling resources or actual people) and hours assigned to tasks, and accurate start and end dates

  • Schedules being maintained throughout a live project, including:

    • Start and end dates

    • Group scheduling resources or actual people assigned to tasks accordingly

    • Hours managed

    • Tasks marked as complete when done
