In WorkBook, brief templates can be created for job briefs, task briefs, pipeline briefs and resource briefs. Brief templates are created in the settings module and usually by your system administrator.

CREATE A BRIEF TEMPLATE

  • Go to the settings module > folders, reports & documents > document templates

  • In the list tab, click the create new button

  • Give your brief a name

  • Select the company the brief belongs to

  • And the areas of WorkBook you’d like the brief template to be available

  • Go to the editor tab

  • If you already have a brief saved as a word document you can upload the brief by clicking the upload a briefing button

  • Or, click the edit the briefing button to create a brief from scratch

EDIT A BRIEF

Even if you upload a document into the briefing area, you may still need to edit it.

  • To edit the brief, click the edit the briefing button

  • Use the format buttons to edit the brief

  • Add dynamic content fields to your brief so that data pre-populates at brief creation, i.e. client name, job number and job name

    • Use the search field to find the content you’re looking for

    • Click in the field you want to populate, then click on the dynamic content ID

SAVE A BRIEF TEMPLATE

  • Each time you edit the brief template, you must click the save button

USE A BRIEF TEMPLATE

  • When you created the template, you chose where you wanted it to be available to users

  • Depending on the settings chosen, the brief template will be available for users to select via the add template button
